Bursitis

Trochanteric pain syndrome is often called trochanteric bursitis. This condition involves discomfort around the outer part of the upper thigh, known as the greater trochanter. This condition can result from various causes, such as overuse, muscle imbalances, or injury. Patients often experience pain, tenderness, and difficulty lying on the affected side. Treatment may include rest, anti-inflammatory medications, and physical therapy to address muscle imbalances and promote healing. In severe cases, injections may also be helpful to eliminate the pain and tenderness.
