Who we are

This website, johnmercurimd.com, is the personal website of John J. Mercuri, MD. It exists to share information about Dr. Mercuri and the care he provides.

What this site collects

This site has no forms, no accounts, and no comment sections. It does not ask for or collect your name, health information, or any other personal details. Anything you want to tell Dr. Mercuri about your health should go through Geisinger's scheduling and patient systems, not this website.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, the company that hosts this site keeps standard technical logs (such as visitor IP addresses) for a short time to keep the site secure and running. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are read most. Google Analytics sets a cookie in your browser and collects information such as the pages you visit here, your approximate location (city level), and your device and browser type. We use this information only in aggregate to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not combine it with any other information about you. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with common browser privacy tools, and the site works exactly the same without them.
